Economic Development That Builds Community

The economic development initiatives for WTICDA, in close partnership with the Whitehall Township administration, is to support small businesses and promote the development of vacant and underutilized properties into beneficial productive enterprises that establish appropriate community enterprises and create well-paying, family sustaining jobs. 

These activities are supported by providing access to a variety of financing opportunities and capitalizing on legislation that supports the economic revitalization of the community.

Economic Development Activities Moravian Academy

WTICDA assisted Moravian Academy of Bethlehem Township in obtaining funds to update their Athletics and Wellness Center. While the Academy had been raising the funds since 2008, further assistance was required, and WTICDA and an area bank were able to help access $7.5 million in tax-exempt bond financing.
